I'm a wife, mom, writer and maker of things, in that order. So I paint, sew, write, collage, make cards, pottery, jewelry, etcand other things...Unless Bill's home, our kids are over, or the grandkids are searching for crawdads in the creek that runs by our house.
Live not to please man, but to please God. If you please God, then you have succeeded in your life.
Some folks say that being in love makes a person weak and dependant. Quite the contrary, my friend. True love resulting from a healthy, supportive relationship makes a person strong and independant.
If the dream is worthy, never give it up.
Be brave. Sometimes bravery means you have to rely on someone else for a while, and let them be brave for you; that's okay.
Love others and be kind even to strangers. You never know what a kind word and a smile can do for someone who is hurting.
Trust your good instincts. Most of us have them built in. However, if you are one of those people who doesn't have good instincts, then don't trust your instincts. Seek wise council and learn from them.
God is good. The crazy stuff that people often say about who God is and what He does - that's pretty much just people saying crazy stuff and claiming it in the name of God. God, being good, gave us his word. It's called the Bible. If you want to know God, start with Psalms.
Pray. God is listening.
Ask God to speak to you. He will, through friends an sometimes strangers, through music and of course, through his word. Then listen.
Psalm 91:11-12 For He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Psalm 91:14-16 Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high because he has known my name.
He shall call upon me and I will answer him;
I will be with him in the day of trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him,.
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Isaiah 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
